J.C. Wilhelm, Inc., located in Manchester, Maryland is a privately held sawmill company that produces high grade lumber used in the manufacturing of fine furniture, cabinets and hardwood flooring. The Business originated in the early 1970's as a small company owned with a primary purpose of producing and installing post and rail fencing. Due to increased demand of lumber by-products our company sold off the fencing business and focused solely on sawmilling. This change led to the incorporation of our company in 1975. The original sawmill burned down on April 23, 1984. With the generous help of our church and friends, we were back in full operation within a few months.

J.C. Wilhelm, Inc. currently provides various hardwood dimension stock lumber, specifically, Poplar and Oak. In addition, we provide survey stakes of various sizes, fence boards, and sawdust/slabwood - a by product of our production process. Our customers consist of mostly large concentration yards but we also accommodate the general public. Our company utilizes the services of Professional Foresters to obtain our logs for production.
